Five Thai National Parks Increase Entrance Fees

Five national parks in Thailand have announced an increase in admission prices for foreigners.  The entrance costs for Thai citizens remain unchanged.

Last Friday, September 30, the Department of National Park, Wildlife, and Plant Conservation’s Facebook page uploaded a two-page document regarding the increased entrance fees.

Hat Nappharat Thara-Mu Ko Phi Phi National Park – located in the province of Krabi in the south of Thailand (including Koh Phi Phi Don, Koh Phi Phi Lay, and Koh Mai Phai)

New rate:

Adult: 400 baht
Children: 200 baht 

Khao Laem Ya – Mu Koh Samet National Park – located in Rayong Province’s eastern region (including Koh Talu, Koh Kudee, Koh Kham – Koh Kruai)

New rate:
Adult: 300 baht
Children: 150 baht 

Khao Yai National Park – is located in the provinces of Nakhon Ratchasima, Prachinburi, Saraburi, and Nakhon Nayok in central Thailand.

New rate:
Adult: 400 baht
Children: 200 baht 

Mu Koh Lanta National Park – located in southern Krabi Province (including Koh Rok, Koh Ngai, Koh Ha, and Koh Hin Daeng – Kong Hin Muang)

New rate:
Adult: 400 baht
Children: 200 baht

Mu Koh Ang Thong National Marine Park – is located in Surat Thani Province in southern Thailand (including Koh Wua Ta Lab and Koh Mae Koh)

New rate:
Adult: 300 baht
Children: 150 baht


NOTES:
*Free admission is granted to monks, children under the age of three, and persons with disabilities.

* Children are defined as those aged three to fourteen who are less than 140 centimeters in height.

As on December 6, 2021, foreigners were required to pay 200 baht to enter the national parks, while children were asked to pay 100 baht.

The entry costs for Thai tourists have not changed.
