Air Canada will have direct flights to Thailand beginning next month. A Boeing 787-9 Dreamliner will provide flights for both Bangkok and Vancouver 4 times a week. It will be the first direct flight between Thailand and North America in a decade.
Air Canada will operate flights between Vancouver International Airport and Suvarnabhumi International Airport every Monday, Wednesday, Friday, and Sunday. It would be seasonal flights that will operate from December 4, 2022, and April 14, 2023. There are 3 features on the aircraft. These are Economy Class. Premium Economy, and the Signature Class.
The flight from Vancouver to Bangkok departs at 11 p.m. and arrives at 5:55 a.m. The flight from Bangkok to Vancouver will depart at 8.30 am and arrive at 6.35 am. Flights are scheduled to arrive early in the morning to provide passengers with the most options for connecting flights on the same day.
Canadian Prime Minister Justin Trudeau paid a visit to Thai Prime Minister Prayut Chan-o-cha, who is in Bangkok for the Asia-Pacific Economic Cooperation (APEC) 2022 Summit from November 16 to 19.
Trudeau told Prayut about Air Canada’s opening of a new route, stating that it would increase tourism earnings for both countries.
The leaders also highlighted the excellent connection between the 2 countries and the commencement of a Canada-ASEAN free-trade agreement to increase the number of middle-class employment possibilities in both countries.
PMs Prayut and Trudeau also highlighted the necessity of climate-resilient infrastructure in the Indo-Pacific region to mitigate climate change’s more severe effects.
Trudeau expressed gratitude to Prayut for hosting the APEC summit.
