Global travel giants Go City have created a new tourist app in Bangkok that enables tourists to visit over 30 destinations for the price of one ticket.
The tour firm committed around USD $35 million to assist operators in digitizing their ticketing systems in anticipation of the return of international travel when COVID restrictions were lifted, targeting Thailand and the Asia-Pacific area.
After launching in Singapore and Hong Kong, the world’s leading distributor of multi-attraction passes has added Bangkok to its list of locations, joining Kuala Lumpur, Seoul, and Tokyo. Thailand’s reopening has led the corporation to relaunch its product to offer locals and tourists.
Jon Owen, the chief executive officer of Go City, explains that the company’s business concept attempts to deliver an all-inclusive package of attractions, experiences, and excursions.
We’ve collaborated with 30 sites and excursions in Bangkok and expect to add 10 to 15 more to our pass as European, and United States travelers continue to travel to the city.
Future plans include promoting the Go City pass in other Thai cities. Before the pandemic, Thai tourists were the 5th biggest market in the area, with the London Pass being the most popular product.
In addition to highlighting lesser-known destinations, Go City hopes to encourage tourists to explore more with their 1, 2, or 3-day tickets.
Bangkok’s current attractions include the King Power Mahanakhon Skywalk, the Chinatown Food Tour, the Chao Phraya River Dinner Cruise, and the Tuk Tuk Night Tour.
