Koh Lan, known as one of the popular tourist destinations in Thailand, is ready to open to tourists after easing travel limitations by the CCSA today.
The head of the community in Koh Lan Booncherd Boonying, told reports that about 70% of the island locals have inoculated.
On the first phase of reopening, there would be no deckchair service and beaches will remain closed.
The good news is all hotels, accommodation facilities, tourist attractions, and resorts were open for business.
Upon arrival, tourists will undergo health protocols that include wearing face masks, alcohol, or sanitisers, and observing social distance would be strictly followed for passengers and tour operators. They will also undergo temperature checks at all boat docks and other locations.
Mr. Booncherd added that even though locals and foreign visitors are welcome, the restriction on migrant workers is still in effect.
Between Pattaya and Koh Lan, passenger boats would run 3 times daily. Additional boats would be added to service once the COVID-19 situation improves.
He did not mention when the reopening will start.
