The popular tourism attraction Phuket FantaSea is set to reopen on September 20 according to Kittikorn Kewkacha, CEO of Phuket FantaSea.
Due to lockdowns during the COVID-19 outbreak, the Kamala-based night theme park has been closed for 2 years.
Mr. Kittikorn announced yesterday that Phuket Fantasea would reopen with a new theme park addition named “Carnival Magic”.
He added that the newest theme park addition has an investment of 6.6 billion baht with a goal of attracting tourists across the world. The Carnival Magic has an area of more than 160,000 sqm, next to the theatre grounds.
“Phuket Fantasea, the world’s biggest cultural theme park for 22 years is ready to unveil Carnival Magic: The Magical Kingdom of Lights, the world’s first and only Thai-style carnival theme park.
Located on Phuket’s Kamala Beach, we are prepared to give excitement with modern technology by combining Thai enjoyment with world-class standards.
We want Carnival Magic to become a new landmark in Thailand that travelers from all over the globe will undoubtedly visit and have an unforgettable experience.”
Mr. Kittikorn told reports that the reopening received positive and outstanding impressions from tour operators.
Mr. Kittikorn believes that the park will draw around 2 million visitors by the end of 2023.
He said that the park is anticipated to attract 70% international visitors and 30% locals.
Mr. Kittikorn said that as the tourism peak season approaches, Phuket will get even more crowded. Thus the launching of Carnival Magic is a welcome addition to tourist attractions in the area.
