One of Phuket’s tastiest cuisine festivals will take place this week. The Phuket Tastival Seafood and Gastronomy: Drive Thru Seafood will start from November 17 to 21.
The event will start daily from 11 am to 8 pm and will be held at Patong Beach’s Dolphin Public Park (Loma Park).
Fresh seafood will be available to both locals and visitors and there will be a diving event titled “Go Green Active”. The event is anticipated to draw over 4,000 individuals for environmental activities.
The goal of the Tastival is to stimulate tourism in Phuket and boost the island province’s economy.
In April, Phuket officials launched the first Tastival event. In addition, to live music and cultural activities, the event included several kiosks that have fresh seafood which is sold per kilogram. There are traditional Thai cuisine and Japanese Yakisoba.
Tastival, Roi Rim Lay, and other culinary festivals in Phuket were launched to stimulate the island’s economy. Phuket officials anticipate that the revenue generated by these culinary events will assist local fishermen, farmers, and merchants. The Covid-19 pandemic has destroyed Phuket’s tourism-based economy which has been the province’s primary source of income.
In September, the annual Vegetarian Festival took place in Phuket for 9 days after a 2-year hiatus.
The Phuket TASTIVAL is another exciting event that local and foreign tourists can enjoy.
