Thousands of nature lovers and flower devotees came to Sai Thong National Park in Chaiyaphum province to see a huge field of blooming pink Siam tulips. The swarm of visitors commenced over the weekend, with tourists eagerly taking pictures and selfies of the breathtaking display.
The 31,900-hectare Sai Thong National Park, comprising four districts, Nong Bua Rahaew, Thep Sathit, Phakdee Chumphol, and Nong Bua Daeng, presents a scenic setting for the Siam tulips to flourish. Authorities of the park have observed that the Siam tulips at Sai Thong bloom later compared to those in the neighboring Pa Hin Ngam National Park, allowing tourists to experience the majesty of tulips in bloom twice.
To encourage tourism in the region, provincial officials have launched a campaign inviting travelers from throughout the country to visit both parks and enjoy the mesmerizing view of the Siam tulip fields between June and September. The biggest Siam tulip field is in Chaiyaphum’s Sai Thong Park, on the western side of Phang Hoei Mountain. A 2-kilometer route leads tourists to a vantage point with a panoramic field view.
The four varieties of Siam tulips found in Sai Thong National Park, such as a white variety, contribute to the landscape’s vibrancy. Park director Chom Madaeng stated that 70 to 80% of the tulips in the field are presently in bloom, offering tourists a captivating visual spectacle.
Nation Thailand indicated that the park had made the proper arrangements for visitors, such as food stores, a grocery store, bungalows, and a camping area, to ensure a comfortable and enjoyable experience.
Besides the Siam tulips, Chaiyaphum province offers a variety of other attractions, including the Sai Thong Waterfall, Sunset Cliff, Phor Muang Cliff, Chom Dao Cliff, Suan Sawan Cliff, Ploenjai Cliff, and Ham Hod Cliff, offering tourists an abundance of choices to explore and appreciate the region’s natural beauty.
