Thailand is set to unveil its best-kept secret: Nakhon Si Thammarat. A collaborative effort between the Tourism Authority of Thailand (TAT) and the provincial governor’s office is underway to place this Southern Thailand province on the world’s tourism radar.
Often referred to as ‘The Green Lungs of Thailand’, Nakhon Si Thammarat brims with unspoiled nature. Those looking for an escape from the hustle and bustle will find solace in this paradise, with its lush landscapes and serene atmospheres.
With a new international terminal at Nakhon Si Thammarat Airport expected to launch by the end of the year, travelers from Singapore, China, Taiwan, and Malaysia can soon fly directly into this wonderland. Add to that the Samui Bridge, a key feature in the Southern Economic Corridor initiative, and accessibility becomes even more convenient.
Governor Apinan Phuakphong envisions a sustainable future, sharing, “As we tap into our vast natural offerings, we’re also exploring growth in medical and wellness tourism.” Echoing this sentiment, TAT’s Nakhon Si Thammarat Director, Pitsinee Tatniyom, adds, “Our focus on nature and community ensures an unmatched experience, inviting visitors to detox, rejuvenate, and rekindle their bond with nature.”
