According to the Foreign Ministry, there is no cut-off date for Test & Go travelers who have received their Thailand Pass.  Since December 22, the Thai government has stopped the Test & Go entry program in response to the spread of the Omicron variant.

The current Test & Go program is applicable for travelers who have approved Thailand Pass and QR code before its suspension effective on December 21 or a traveler must have already submitted their application before December 21.

Many business and tourism operators have expressed their disappointment with the Test & Go suspension.  They point out that the Omicron variant could cause mild symptoms and officials should not treat it the same way it does with its previous variants.

Thai government actions during the COVID-19 pandemic remain uncertain after Test & Go’s suspension.  Travel cutoff dates for approved travelers have been reported first to be effective on January 10 and then changed to January 15.

Last January 7, the CCSA emphasized that anyone with an approved Test & Go entry needs to enter before January 15. This requirement was later canceled and no cut-off date has been established.

While Test & Go is suspended indefinitely, travelers who want to travel to Thailand must now undergo quarantine or enter via Sandbox programs located in Phuket, Koh Samui (Koh Phan Ngan and Koh Tao) Krabi, or Phang Nga. All travelers must provide proof that they are fully vaccinated from vaccines approved by the World Health Organization and negative RT PCR test results. All travelers going to Thailand where local or foreigners are required to apply for a Thailand Pass regardless of whether they arrive via quarantine or sandbox program.
