Phuket authorities are planning a program to attract tourists and generate revenue for residents who have been crushed by Covid-19. This scheduled event, titled “Phi Muang Nong’s House,” will take place from Friday to Sunday, April 22-24, starting at 5 p.m., at Sarasin Bridge, the 300-meter bridge between Phang Nga and Phuket. Mini hot air balloons will be the main feature of the event.
Phuket Vice Governor Anuphap, together with the vice president of the Phuket Provincial Administration Organization, attended the event’s press launch. The event is being organized by the PPAO. Wiwat Jindapol, vice president of the PPAO, said that this would be the first time mini hot air balloons have been flown over Sarasin Bridge.
“Visitors may snap photographs using a 30-meter-long light tunnel and a colorful copy of the stage’s mini air balloon.”
As is the usual events in Phuket this year, fresh seafood and other local items will be offered in addition to a concert and live music. Wiwat stated that the event will help “establish a relationship between our brothers and sisters in Phang Nga and Phuket”.
Phuket officials have organized many events in recent months with the goal of generating revenue for local farmers and food vendors. This year, Phuket hosted 2 fish festivals: the Roi Rim Lay festival and the new ‘Tasitval’.
