October marks a transitional period in Thailand as the country moves out of the rainy season. This month is an ideal time to visit for those seeking a blend of cultural experiences, stunning natural scenery, and fewer crowds. While the weather improves, occasional rain can still be expected, especially along the southern Andaman coast. To ensure a pleasant stay for our members, here are some important updates:
1. Public Holidays and 90-Day Reporting Calendar for October 2024
Please note that our offices will be closed on the following public holidays in October:
- Monday, October 14th, in memory of H.M. King Bhumibol Adulyadej The Great
- Wednesday, October 23rd, for Chulalongkorn Memorial Day.
For members needing to complete 90-day reporting in Bangkok or other provinces, our head office on Sathorn Road and other locations will not be available on these days.
2. Thailand Privilege Card Mobile Application
We are excited to announce that our new mobile application is currently in its testing phase. We appreciate your patience and look forward to the official launch soon. In the meantime, please continue to use our website for all your service information needs.
3. Waiting Charge for Transfer Services
For departure transfer services, a complimentary waiting period of up to 15 minutes from the scheduled pickup time is provided. Any delays beyond this will incur a waiting charge, payable directly to the driver. This fee varies depending on the vehicle type and service provider.
4. Luggage and Passenger Limits for Transfer Services
To ensure a smooth arrival in Thailand, please inform our Member Contact Center about the total number of your luggage and passengers when reserving a transfer service. Overloading may lead to denial of service or damage to your belongings, for which the service provider cannot be held liable.
5. Confirmation of Guest and Immediate Family Member Numbers
Before your trip, please confirm the number of guests or immediate family members traveling with you. This is important to avoid any issues with immigration officers or vehicle arrangements.
6. 2024 Taxation Regulations
Members are exempt from paying personal income tax in Thailand if they transfer funds from a personal bank account abroad into a Thai bank account and can prove that the money was not earned in that same calendar year. Please consult with our wealth management partners or the Revenue Department for more details on taxation, especially if your home country has a Double Tax Agreement with Thailand.
7. Stay Extension Reminder
Always check your passport for the latest arrival or extension stamp to ensure that you do not overstay. It’s essential to apply for an extension before the expiry date stated in your passport to avoid penalties.
8. Elite Personal Assistant and Transfer Service Reservation and Cancellation Policy
Reservations for Elite Personal Assistant (EPA) and transfer services must be made at least 24 hours before your flight. Changes or cancellations need to be made 12 hours in advance of your confirmed service time. Please note that walk-ins are not permitted.
